About
Creative Inspirations is co-written by Susan DiMarchi, one of Botanical Interests’ wonderful artists and Sam Myhre, a local crafter who is just bubbling with ideas! The blog will have arts and crafts projects from the garden and for the garden. It will also feature some of our talented artists and instruct you on how to create and maintain a working garden journal.

Growing up in a home with an appreciation of the arts, architecture and craftsmanship, Samantha Myhre was inspired at a young age to create. Now, as a mother and wife she carries on this tradition of curiosity for culture, design, form, function and natural beauty. With an emphasis on simplicity and repurposing, her hope is to inspire you to craft and create clever craft solutions for your home and garden.

Her professional experience is drawn from her years working in the field of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning. She has lived and traveled throughout the United States stretching from Alabama to Alaska. Her favorite activities are crafting, gardening, knitting, photography and cooking. Her favorite childhood garden memories are watching the vegetables grow in her grandparent’s hydroponics garden in Yuma, Arizona and smelling the sweetness of fresh cut flowers on her bedside table clipped from her mother’s garden.
